A safety recall is issued when a manufacturer identifies a defect that needs corrective work. The repair is normally arranged through the manufacturer's dealer network.
Before buying a used car
- 1. Search the registration. A model may be affected while a particular vehicle has already been repaired.
- 2. Ask for evidence. Keep invoices or dealer confirmation for completed work.
- 3. Contact the manufacturer. The dealer can confirm the campaign and arrange the remedy.
